As you explore LUCI’s many capabilities, we are glad to offer integration with Amazon’s Alexa® assistant. Here are the steps you can take to connect and use LUCI with any Alexa-supported devices such as a smart phone with the Alexa app installed, Amazon Echo®, or Amazon Dot®.
To connect your Alexa-supported device with LUCI, please follow these steps first:
Using your smart phone

Open the Alexa app on your phone or mobile device.

Select Skills & Games within the app.

Search for LUCI and select the LUCI skill.

Select Enable Skill on the skill page.

You will be prompted to enter your MyLUCI account name and password. Follow the instructions.
Using your computer

Log into your Amazon account online and navigate to Alexa Skills.

Search for LUCI in Alexa Skills.

Select the LUCI skill and then select Enable.

You will be prompted to enter your MyLUCI account name and password. Follow the instructions.
You can now interact with LUCI on any Alexa-supported device that is linked to your Amazon account!
Start using Alexa® with LUCI
LUCI supports nearly 100 different phrases and commands that Alexa can help with. There are two main ways you’ll need to phrase sentences as you talk to Alexa about LUCI. When referring to LUCI, be sure to use the phrase “my LUCI” rather than just “LUCI”.
Ask a question
“Alexa, why is my LUCI light green and blinking?”
“Alexa, what is my LUCI battery level?”
“Alexa, what is my LUCI chair location?”
Say a command
“Alexa, ask my LUCI how many collisions I’ve avoided this week”
“Alexa, start my LUCI”
